12th Annual Dinner and Meeting

The Old Bag Factory

The dinner is on the third floor of the Old Bag Factory, which has elevator access. Look for directions at the entrance. The doors will open at 6 p.m. for viewing trail-related exhibits. The dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and dress is casual. Bread & Chocolate, known for their beautiful and delicious food, will cater the dinner. There will a vegetarian option.

Door prizes include gift certificates to local bicycle shops and an Electra Townie 7D bicycle donated by Elkhart Bicycle Shop.

 

Program-

John Yoder, President of Friends of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail, will report on the great progress of trail construction in 2012 and the plans for 2013.

Our guest speaker, Steve Bechtel, has been executive director of Trails for Illinois since 2011. Prior to taking his current position, Buchtel, who grew up outside Millersburg, was a community bicycle planner and the south suburban coordinator for Active Transportation Alliance (formerly the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation). Buchtel will speak on the topic, "Turning Homes into Trailheads."
