About the Pumpkinvine Bike Ride

You may start your ride at Abshire Park in Goshen or at the Shipshewana Flea Market. You must specify on your registration form whether you plan to start at Goshen or Shipshewana. The information below will help you decide where to start.

If you want the 10.4-Mile Family Trail Ride you must start at Abshire Park. All rides from Abshire Park start on 5.1-miles of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail and then follow county roads.

The 13-Mile Family Trail Ride starts at the Shipshewana Flea Market. Special black and yellow stripped arrows will direct you from the Flea Market to the trail. You will turn around at the end of the trail in Middlebury and return to Shipshewana Flea Market. This ride does not reach the SAG at River Bend Park in Middlebury.

The Pumpkinvine Nature Trail between Middlebury and Shipshewana is not included in the on-road bicycle routes but you can add the trail to your ride if you wish.

If you plan to ride 100 miles you may start at Abshire Park or Shipshewana Flea Market. You will ride all of the routes except the 13-Mile Family Trail Ride.

The routes shown on the map and tables below are on county roads except the section of the Pumpkinvine Trail extending 5.1-miles northeast from Abshire Park and the 5.7 mile section between Middlebury and Shipshewana.
